In this rapidly-changing social environment, make-up is considered as an important factor of living culture relating to aesthetic and complex value of human beings, not a simple and instinctive ornamental behavior. These days, appearance plays an important role due to development of computers, television sets and multi-media. In particular, as more women have jobs, they use make-up as a positive image changing means and much change in make-up trend is found. In physiognomy, faces are considered as a very important factor and it has been believed that inborn faces do not change. However, the theory should be reconsidered as the generation changes. So, to make better looks within the range of modern physiognomy, we need more study on harmony of looks though make-up and correction make-up techniques. This study examines correlations between looks and faces, specifically, foreheads, eyebrows, eyes, noses, mouths and chins that are important clues in people's looks based on physiognomy discourse.
