This study compared intensity of variation for tropical cyclone by using the best track data of RSMC and JTWC which present information about tropical cyclone of the Western North Pacific. In the first part of study, a parallelization data is made from different data which is presented for same tropical cyclone (TC) by each of organizations and the parallelization data is analyzed by typhoon track. Also scatter diagram is presented for information of TC intensity between RSMC and JTWC by using analyzed data. The results from comparing of scatter diagram are that TC data of JTWC is stronger than data of RSMC and if the intensity of TC is stronger, the difference is getting bigger. By the comparing results of the maximum wind of RSMC which is using that strength of 10-minute sustained wind is statistically 88% of a 1-minute sustained wind (Simiu and Scanlon. 1978) and RSMC best track, maximum wind is same as 88%() under 65 knot but RSMC is over 65 knot, maximum wind is same as 79%() of the JTWC maximum wind. In the second part of study, according to the results by comparing of intensity variation of tropical cyclone activity by following frequency of TC activity in the Western North Pacific and the Korean Peninsula, the data which is used by the JTWC best track information show us that strong cyclones under category 4 and 5 are recently increasing. This is the same results of research which is worked by Webster et al. (2005) and Emanuel (2005) but the other data which is used by the RSMC best track information on analysis results of 4 level classification show us that TS (Include STS), Strong and Violent strong cyclones is getting decrease except Very strong cyclone. In the third part of study, tropical cyclone activity is analyzed in the Western North Pacific, KMA watch area, KMA emergency area. it is used AER(Annual Extreme Report), AT5M(Annual Top 5 Mean) and NTA(Normalized Typhoon Activity) to make detail analysis of TC intensity. the results by JTWC best track information, each AER values of the average of 30 years from 1977 to 2006 in the Western North Pacific, KMA watch area and KMA emergency area are 132 kt, 113 kt, 86 kt and the each AT5M values are 132 kt, 113 kt, 86 kt. It show us that strong cyclone is getting increase. In case use of RSMC best track information, each AER values of above are 112 kt, 102 kt, 83 kt and AT5M values are 100 kt, 89 kt, 77 kt. It means that strong cyclone is getting decrease. The intensity variation of tropical cyclone activity in the Korean Peninsula is analyzed by AERs which are the Korean Peninsula landfalling TCs and which are affected the Korea Peninsula in 200 nm. The results of analysis is that there is not able to find any trends which is increase or decrease. In the analysis of NTA, there are 52.4 days difference between JTWC best track information (187.6 days) and RSMC best track information (135.2 days) on the NTA of the Western North Pacific. NTA which is analyzed by JTWC best track information show us a increasing trend but NTA by RSMC best track information show us a little decreasing trend, rather than a increasing trend. From the all results of analysis, It looks like tropical cyclone is getting increase by JTWC best track information but there is no evidence regarding increase of tropical cyclone by RSMC best track information.
