Strengthening the competitiveness of construction industries became an important subject because of continuous low growth of economy recently. Also, the business environment of domestic construction industries is receiving the necessity of a constant structural change though somewhat improved after the foreign exchange crisis. In accordance with this, each enterprise is exerting every effort for improving the quality of execution, the quality security, a new construction method development and the enterprise managing capacity to cope with the diversification of demand, along with the cost reduction through expense management ability reinforcement, the management rationalization, the job site productivity improvement and the purchase rationalization. But, these efforts don’t focus on the solution to the problems in the enterprise for the gut problem solving, only being the temporary expedient for being adapted to external environment. The improvement in an enterprise, in particular, the improvement for the process of the organization, being the foundation of enterprising accomplishment, is required to solve more fundamental problems of an enterprise in accordance with this. According to this, PI(Process Innovation), management-innovating theory, appeared and many enterprises are making efforts to apply PI recently. In accordance with this, this research had an interview with the official in charge by paying a visit to Technical Development Institute for 4 weeks or so from Oct. 8, 2007 to grasp the existing task process of the Technical Development Institute of A Construction, PI application subject. Interview subjects are 3 departments(Technical Research Institute, Design dep., Quality management dep.), we analyzed it after surveying the existing task through the four interviews(from the first to the fourth) by making the official in charge an object, and collected the problems, betterment plans of the task and the organization. We presented the task and the betterment plan of each organization according to PI performance process on the basis of the surveyed contents. We drew an improved task process model by conducting the research after analyzing the process and data efficiently through the methodologies like IDEFO, ERD, DFD for this research performance.
