For this purpose, by surveying the documents on the characteristics of color expression and the characteristics of expression for art development stage of children by a number of scholars and color theory, the attempt is made to define how it is related to the color with the sentiment of children. The study aimed at learning the contents of the advance study and the symbolic elements, such as the implication of basic colors, and for the basic studies to understand the color psychology it applied the study of Lowenfeld, the study of Asari, the study of Alschuler and Hattwick, the study of Kim Jae-eun and Im Hyung-jin, the study on Park Jae-myung for the psychological study method of children and analysis contents thereto, and the contents of each color scholar was compared and analyzed its differences. As a result, the color that takes an important position in the drawing expression of the children could be a great data to test the psychological aspect of the children, and it is able to confirm as having significant influence for children. In addition, specific color shown in the drawing has a profound relationship with the adjustment of personality and emotion that could be said as consistent to the strong sentiment of children at the time. Opinion on color differs depending on each scholar, and the drawings of children also have no certain style along the personal desire or emotion that the interest on certain color changes frequently by given environment or learning experience.
