This study purpose on identifying the meaning of sacraments, important rites in Christianity from the perspective of Educational Ministry and providing alternatives regarding educating and administering sacraments in a right way. Baptism and the Eucharist which mainly constitute sacraments in Christianity and have been given to us by God through Jesus Christ have brought benefits to all Christian churches and their members historically. This study employed the method of documentary research as a research method. From the perspective of Educational Ministry, the following problems have been found in the sacrament in the Korean church. First, education regarding sacraments has not been provided sufficiently in a right way. Second, it has brought benefits not to the church community as a whole but to its individual members. Third, participants in sacraments showed only formal and passive attitudes. Sacraments not only bring benefits to individuals but also renew the identity of the church community, expand it, and also make the community develop as the global community taking social responsibility. Baptism is the rite through which one is admitted as a full member of the Christian church, and the Eucharist is a continuous sacrament involving the intercourses among community members. All church community members should participate in education for the subjects of baptism, and after the baptism they should provide continuous education through the Eucharist and the interactions among the members. The researcher suggests alternatives regarding sacraments from the perspective of Educational Ministry. First, one should be made to experience baptism and the first Eucharist impressively according to the seasons of the Christian church year. Second, the church community should engage in education for the would-be subjects of baptism, children and juveniles, and their parents by taking direct participate in education regarding sacraments, and then connect a rite of passage to the sacraments. Third, the catechumenate which had been education for the baptized in the early church should be applied to the Korean church community and thereby all church community members should take active participation in education for the subjects of baptism as teachers.
