The purpose of this study is to observe the effect that vibrant exercise has on lactic acid in blood in the convalescent stage after high impact exercise, and muscle strength during the next exercise, and to examine the effect of vibrant exercise by comparing with other recovery types. Subjects of this study were 10 college men in 20's who had less then 28% of body fat percentage, periodically participate in sports, and had physical fitness medically without any special disease. Each participant had 4-minute recovery between 3-time high impact exercise, and had static recovery, dynamic recovery(28% of V′O_(2max)), and vibrant exercise recovery for 20 minutes after exercise, and each type of recovery was conducted at intervals of minimum one week. Lactic acid in blood, Fatigue Index, and muscle strength figures(Total Work, Peak Power, Average Power, Minimum Power) according to each type of recovery were calculated with the mean and standard deviation, Two-way ANOVA Repeated Measurement was conducted to examine the difference of effect depending on each type of recovery, and all statistical significance levels were P<.05. The results of this study are as follows. First, lactic acid in blood was decreased most rapidly in dynamic recovery, and then came vibrant exercise recovery in that order. There was statistically significant difference, but it was only shown in static recovery and dynamic recovery at point of 20-minute. Second, Fatigue Index was increased and then decreased again in all of three types of recovery, and there was no statistically significant difference. Third, muscle strength figures(Total Work, Peak Power, Average Power, Minimum Power) was decreased in all of three types of recovery, and there was no statistically significant difference. After considering all the results, vibrant exercise rest had no statistically significant effect as exercise for recovery. It is considered that vibrant exercise had less oxygen intake than dynamic recovery, and continuous isometric contraction was on quadriceps during vibrant exercise for recovery. Also insufficient recovery exercise owing to short time for recovery was another factor that made no difference between each type of recovery. However, in changes of lactic acid known as representative index of fatigue, rate of lactic acid accumulation was lower in vibrant exercise recovery than static recovery, thus vibrant exercise had a possibility to be effective as recovery exercise. Therefore, future studies must be performed with more subjects, and it is required to study strength, time, and frequency of recovery exercise.
