This research was aimed to suggest the fundamental data for enhancing sports club members' quality of life by setting a hypothesis based on previous studies and examine the casual relationship among variables with analysis of covariance(ANCOVA).
To achieve the goal, data were collected from adults members residence in Seoul, belong to National Council of Sports for All. 4 districts(DongDaeMun, Nowon, DongJak, SongPa Gu) were selected by convenience sampling method. 400 samples were selected from soccer(140), basketball(130)and baseball(130) clubs.
A survey tool's believability and validity secured through pilot study and completed questionnaires were asked to target samples. Data that draw through this analyzed using statistics program SPSS(ver 12.0) and AMOS 7.0, and the results were as follows.
First, the result that enforced χ2 test to search utilization population statistics, showed differences in frequency, period, type of participation by participants' age.
Differences showed in club sports participation time, period and type by participants' academic background.
Differences showed in club sports participation time, period and type by participants' marital status.
Differences showed in club sports participation time, period and type by participants' income.
Second, One-way ANOVA analysis was used to examine the differences of sports participation motivation by sports participation frequency. The results showed differences in skill development and achievement, enjoyment, health and fitness, external display by frequency of club sports participation.
Skill development and achievement, enjoyment, external display, social intercourse, amotivation showed differences by time of club sports participation.
Skill development and achievement, enjoyment, health and fitness, external display, social intercourse showed differences by period of club sports participation.
Skill development and achievement, enjoyment, health and fitness, external display, social intercourse, amotivation showed differences by type of club sports participation.
Skill development and achievement, enjoyment, health and fitness, external display, social intercourse, amotivation showed differences by attitude of club sports participation.
Third, the result of covariance structures analysis to examine the casual relationship among flow experience, self-esteem, quality of life was as follows;
1. Sports participation motivation influences to sports flow experience directly(.742), to self-esteem(.876).
2. Quality of life influenced by sports participation motivation indirectly(.746), by sports flow experience(.750), directly(.737)and indirectly(.012).
3. Self-esteem influences to Quality of life directly(.217).
As the result, sports flow experience influences to club sports members' quality of life, sports participation motivation influences directly to sports flow experience. Self-esteem influences to quality of life, influenced by sports participation motivation directly. Sports flow experience and self-esteem influences directly to quality of life.
