The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of non-contact yoga programs that combine resistance exercise to improve stress, depression, and quality of life experienced by adult women due to prolonged social distancing caused by COVID-19. This study was conducted on 20 women in their 20s and 30s living in the metropolitan area, and the experimental group performed both resistance exercise and yoga using a real-time non-contact program, and the control group performed only resistance exercise. One 30-minute program, including warm-up and cleanup exercises, was conducted three times a week for four weeks. Resistance exercise consisted of a program using one's own weight, and yoga was conducted in Surya-Namaskara. Stress was measured using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), depression was measured using the Centre for epidemiological studies depression (CES-D), and quality of life was measured using the EuroQol-Visual Algorithm Scale (EQ VAS). Compared to the control group that conducted only resistance exercise, the experimental group that conducted a non-contact yoga program with both resistance exercise had a significant difference over time between the two groups in depression (p=0.049) and quality of life (p=0.030). As a result, considering the negative effects of the non-contact world accelerated by the epidemic of infectious diseases, non-contact yoga programs that combine resistance exercise are considered suitable to restore and maintain the health of adult women's bodies and minds. Therefore, based on this study, conducting non-contact yoga programs in similar pandemic situations in the future will help improve stress, depression, and quality of life.
