Through this study, we will learn about the relationships between school violence and complex PTSD and see if social support has an control effect. For this, data on 365 elementary school students and middle school students in Gwangju has been collected and analyzed, using school violence scaling, complex PTSD scaling, and social support scaling. The experience of victimization by school violence happened on various frequencies, from once to repeatedly, and language violence took the first place, followed by physical violence and bullying. To find out whether the experience of victimization by school violence relates to complex PTSD, step-wised multiple regression analysis has been conducted, and the result, ranked in descending order was threatening, language violence, wang-ta, extortion, physical violence, all accounting for 54% of total variables. As a result of research on whether social support could modulate school violence and complex PTSD symtoms, students who felt emotional, informational, appraisal, and material support from their parents and teachers showed less complex PTSD symptoms compared to those who didn't. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of this study and the directions for future research were discussed.
