The purpose of this study was to develop an Group playtherapy program and examine its effect on children. The hypotheses in this study were as follows: First, Group playtherapy program will enhance sociality of children. Second, Group playtherapy program will enhance subordinated fields of sociality, such their ability to control their emotion, relationships with others, adaptation to their school life. The subjects of this study were 20 students in W kindergarten in Daegu, who understood the goal and procedure of training program and hoped to join the program. They were organized into 2 groups, an experimental group and a control group, each having 10 students. This program for enhancing sociality was carried out twice a week for 10 sessions(each session lasted for 50 minutes). The effect of Group playtherapy program was measured with a rating scale of sociality that was developed by Lee Myung Sun(2007). The rating scale of ego-resilience in this study consists of 3 sub-factors: ability to control their emotion, relationships with others, adaptation to their school life. In data analysis, based on pre-test, post-test and further-test, ANOVA of SPSS was conducted to measure the effects of the program. A statistical significance level for hypothesis testing was set at .05. The result of this study was as follows: First, The Group playtherapy program has an effect on the enhancement on sociality of children. Second, The Group playtherapy program has an effect on the 3 sub-factors sociality: ability to control their emotion, relationships with others, adaptation to their school life. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that the Group playtherapy program had been developed and tried, and it’s effect had proved.
