It has recently been observed that the domestic musical and performance market is dramatically expanding. However, it has not been true for the creative musical contents but for the licensed and original musical contents. To this respect, it appears to be critical for Korean creators of musical and performing art to have more good understanding on the marketing activities to be implemented. Through the reviews of the extant literatures, the current study introduced the various marketing activities expecting to influence audiences' purchase and post-purchase behavior. Specifically, the current study divide the marketing activities into two factors - work related factors and non-work related factors. The examples of work related factor include work-quality, actor, and music; while those of non-work related factor include convenience, price, promotion, and service process. The previous works also indicated moderating role of customers' satisfaction and their commitment between marketing activities and customers' purchase behavior. To this respect, the current study attempted to articulate the those concepts as well. Specifically, the intrinsic and extrinsic satisfaction were discussed for the concept of customer satisfaction; while affective and calculative commitment were addresses for that of customer commitment. The empirical study to test the hypothesis based on the review of literature employed the survey method; and the total of 1,200 audience data from 6 theaters were collected. The empirical testing indicated several interesting results as follows; First, the result showed that marketing activities implemented by musical institutions have meaningful influences on satisfaction in general. Specifically, work related factors exerted stronger impacts on intrinsic satisfaction than non-work related factors did while non-work related factors compared to work related factors made stronger influences on extrinsic satisfaction. Second, customer satisfaction is shown to make meaningful influences on commitment(i.e., emotional and calculative) in general; Specifically, intrinsic satisfaction compared to extrinsic satisfaction makes stronger influences on emotional commitment, while extrinsic satisfaction compared to intrinsic satisfaction appeared to have more influence on calculative commitment. Third, commitment in general is shown to make meaningful impacts on consumers' post-purchase behavior; however, emotional commitment compared to calculative commitment has stronger influence on post-purchase behavior. Finally, marketing activities of musical institutions appeared to make meaningful influence on consumers' post-purchase behavior in general; and work related factor makes stronger influences on post-purchase behavior than non-work related factors do. Based on the research findings, the current study offered several academic implication on the relationships among marketing activities, satisfaction, commitment, and so on. At the same time, the current study also offered some implications for the practitioners who would like to utilize the results of the current study. Finally, the current study suggested several further research implication which would overcome the research limitation posed by the current study.
