The purpose of this study was to determine effect of Dual task training applying cognitive task on cognitive and walking ability after stroke. The subjects were diagnosed as stroke and 20 patients participated in this study. Participants were randomly divided into either dual task training group and simple task training group(10 experimental, 10 control). All of participants had been receiving a traditional rehabilitation program, 5 days a week. dual and simple task training have additionally undergone for four weeks, 3 days a week, the each other program. The electroencephalogram (EEG), capacity cognitive screening examination (CCSE), stroop test, Timed up & Go test (TUG), 10 m walking test (10 MWT), Figure of 8 walk test (F8WT) and dual task performance to measure cognitive and walking ability were repeatedly measured 3 times (before and after training, 2 weeks follow up). EEG was estimated by cerebral cortex activity of the alpha and beta power about Fp1, Fp2, F3, F4, T3, T4, P3, P4 and analyze to relative power spectral analysis. The Results of this study were indicated that : First, Dual task training were improving cognitive and walking ability, dual task performance(p<.05) than single task training. Seconds, Dual task training were improving activity of Beta power in Fp1, Fp2, F3(p<.05) than single task training. From these results of this study, Dual task training has effect on improvement of cognitive and walking ability, dual task performance. Also, these training benefits were maintained for 2 weeks and showed improvement on novel dual task. Therefore, Dual task training will to when the stroke patients are treat for improve cognitive and walking ability.
