Due to the growing social trends of double income families and the increase in government subsidies for Child-care Center, the parents' demand for the service quality of Child-care has been increasing steadily as well. The purpose of this research is to explore the possible criteria for the parents on choosing a Child-care Center, and the factors that determine their satisfaction level. In this study, four research questions were generated, in relation to the parents' selection criteria and their satisfaction into the Child-care Center. First, how do the parents' social and demographic backgrounds influence their choice of a Child-care Center and their satisfaction level? Second, how do the parents' selection criteria for a Child-care Center and their satisfaction level depend on its facilities? Third, what are the determinants of the criteria for selecting an ideal Child-care Center? Lastly, what are the determinants the satisfaction level of parents towards their Child-care Center? The study was conducted from September to November 2010, and the subjects were the parents using Child-care Center in Gyeong Sang Nam Do. To gather data, 637 cases were analyzed using SPSS for windows Ver 18.0 program. The descriptive statistical analysis t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were used for date analysis. A summary of the findings of this study is as follows: First, The parents of a lower education level relied much on the "child-care programmes" and "quality of teacher" when choosing a Child-care Center; the parents of lower income valued "parent's interaction"; a single income family parents valued Child-care Center's "accessibility"; the parents with lower education level gave higher satisfaction rate for the "health and safety satisfaction". Second, the study on Child-care Center facilities and parents' satisfaction level showed that downtown Child-care Center valued "management" and "accessibility"; those with good evaluation certificate valued "management" and "child-care programmes". The downtown Child-care Center were rated high on "parent participation satisfaction" as did those fostering "39 children or less" and "40〜99 children" on "health and safety satisfaction", and those with onstanding certificates on "child-care curriculum", "parent participation", "health and safety", and "total satisfaction" areas. Third, it is found that the criteria for choosing Child-care Center varies: The younger the parents are, the more they care about "management" and "parent's interaction" arenas; the lower their education level, the more they value "management", "parent's interaction", and "child-care programme" arenas; if living downtown, they prioritize "management", "parent participation", "accessibility". The Child-care Center with higher reputation and quality certificates are selected for their "management", "child-care programme", and "teacher quality"; for a domestic Child-care Center, the influential factor is "teacher quality", while a non-domestic Child-care Center, "parent participation" Finally, For smaller Child-care Center, "health and safety satisfaction" and "total satisfaction" were emphasized; for certified Child-care Center "parent participation" and "health and safety" were emphasized. If the parents value "management" capabilities, then "child-care curriculum", "health and safety", and "total satisfaction" were influenced. If it was not, then "parent participation" was influenced. If "parent's interaction" and "child-care programme" were prioritized, "child-care curriculum", "parent participation ", and "total satisfaction" were influenced, and if ?accessibility" were prioritized, then "child-care curriculum" and "total satisfaction". The study results would be provided to the Child-care Center to increase both family's overall happiness, and the evaluation standard for Child-care Centers.
