Inspection of electric power equipments and diagnostic technology are mainly done with Non-destructive inspection that can test in uninterruptible power state in case of power outage due to the nature of industrial sites or intelligent building in recent years. Among those, inspection techniques of power distribution line are being actively investigated in certain conditions that can be inspected and managed a wide range of areas. Looking at the accident mechanism of electrical equipments, in case of high voltage equipment, the process of insulation destruction first develops defective factors accordingly the weak-link in the isolation from the point corona will occur. Then, it leads to an accident caused by arc discharge from a higher voltage to breakdown voltage. To prevent the accident efficiently and to evaluate the performance of the safety of the electric power equipments, measured IR (Infrared Radiation) and UV (Ultraviolet rays), occur in various states of power equipments, using both IR, UV camera and corona detection. The study was facilitated by building experiment equipment installed with high voltage COS (transformer install the protective power fuse) and choosing high voltage COS as experimental objects. This was first observed at steady-state phenomenon with simultaneous measurement of the two devices, and then analyzed change of state after spraying different concentrations of brine, produced for conductivity difference, on high voltage COS. Here, analysis of brine utilization is to reproduce sea salt area. By modeling of high-voltage COS at the 22.9 [kV] where rise of temperature and the corona occur, proved the correlation between temperature distribution experiment by infrared camera and size and occurrence of ultraviolet radiance. Also, model randomly selected domestic high-capacity and electric-accommodating facility for the analysis of the power facility diagnostic techniques. Inspection elements for power equipment using infrared camera were analyzed by sampling result of each part of thermal imaging diagnosis of the transformer and thermal image diagnosis of low-voltage and high-voltage circuit breakers. To accurately measure the temperature, number of other infrared sources should be offset, because infrared ray is largely influenced by the surrounding environment by factors such as reflection off objects and absorption of atmosphere. Even if IR equipment can automatically run online, the distance between the estimated temperature, the emissivity of the object, the estimated reflected temperature, the distance between the object and the IR equipment, relative humidity and ambient temperature and other factors should be provided. The most material parameter for correct set-up is emissivity, the measurement of infrared radiation emitted from the object, and it can be compared with the formation of a perfect blackbody at the same temperature. Typically, the metal, before oxidized, presents perfect opaque and high reflectivity and its change of wavelength is not volatile. Therefore, the emissivity of the medal only increases in case of rise in temperature. In case of non-metals, they have properties of high emissivity and decrease in temperature. The existing Three-phase comparative law was limited to comparing temperature of each phase about one facility through testing equipments and providing same diagnosis. The proposed method provides means to check the connection in the state due to poor connectivity, to define the characteristics of connection spot, and to provide distinction way according to the states of rise in temperature. As a result, the spot where temperature difference of 5 [℃] to 10 [℃] is where criteria is at precautionary state and the spot where temperature difference is more than 10 [°C] can be determined it is due to load unbalance at the circuit of the connection. If there is more than 20 [℃] of temperature difference, the regional hot spot is generally caused by poor connectivity of connection spot or electric discharge. This high temperature turns color of electric conductor of connection spot, and highly possibly leads to oxidation and corrosion process or to cuprous oxidization. Diagnostics by analysis of the infrared image can be applied directly at the field, and are expected to be very productive securing the safety of the facility. While the infrared camera detects hot spot from electric current, ultraviolet corona or detection camera, with the highest level of sensitivity, is used for prevention and maintenance of electric equipment by high-capacity electric equipment firms. This equipment diagnoses the corona and occurrence of partial discharge by ultraviolet imagining diagnosis and analysis on diagnosing object. Also, it is a preventive diagnostic equipment to ensure the soundness and reliability of the facility when diagnosed with deficiency due to the insulation of destruction, and close examination of contamination, corrosion, defects and breakdown, and equipment-specific corona and partial discharge. Observation of corona can be analyzed as factor in voltage because it only impact on distribution of electric field, not the flow of electric current. Therefore, simultaneous observation of ultraviolet corona detection camera and infrared camera can acquire more accurate information on equipment status than utilization of individual equipments does. The ultraviolet corona detection camera carries out UV observation processing line and substation, and also can check design quality and status of electric wire and substation. Corona observation using corona camera is simple and easy as it does not require wire load while UV observation has advantage of reducing expenses as it can detect risk factors, which can cause power outage, in advance. In this thesis, it presents the method of qualitative and quantitative state analysis of equipment through analysis of the infrared and ultraviolet. Especially, the result
