콩에 발생하는 바이러스의 종류, 감염율 등을 조사하기 위해 2012년 7월 중순부터 8월 중순까지 전국 8개도 19개 시∙군 원종장, 원원종장, 기본식물 포장, 기능성작물부 대구시험지를 비롯한 콩 육종포장에서 바이러스 병징으로 생각되는 시료들을 채집하였다. 수집된 시료들은 14종 바이러스 AMV(Alfalfa mosaic virus), BBWV2(Broad bean wilt virus 2), BCMV(Bean common mosaic virus), BYMV(Bean yellow mosaic virus), CCMV(Cowpea chlorotic mottle virus), CMV(Cucumber mosaic virus), CPMV(Cowpea mosaic virus), PEMV(Peanut mottle virus), PSV(Peanut stunt virus), SbDV(Soybean dwarf virus), SMV (Soybean mosaic virus), SYMMV(Soybean yellow mottle mosaic virus), SYCMV(Soybean yellow common mosaic virus), TSV(Tobacco streak virus)에 대한 RT-PCR으로 검출하였다. 검출결과 SMV, PSV, SYCMV, SYMMV와 국내 미 보고종인 BCMV가 검출되었다. AMV, CMV, SbDV, CPMV, PEMV, CCMV, TSV, BBWV2 그리고 BYMV는 검출되지 않았다. 채집된 시료의 94.2%가 바이러스에 감염된 것으로 확인되고 5.8%의 시료에서 바이러스가 검출되지 않았다, 검출된 바이러스종들은 SMV 73.1%, PSV 6.5%, SYMMV 4.6%, SYCMV 1.9%로 확인 되었으며 단 한점의 시료에서만 BCMV가 검출되었다. 6.2% 시료에서 SMV와 PSV가 동시 검출되었으며, 0.8% 시료에서 SYMMV와 SYCMV가 동시 검출되었다. 국내 미보고 종인 BCMV의 전 염기서열 결정과 생물 검정을 실시하였다.

The RT-PCR assay was conducted to detect fourteen different viruses such as SMV (Soybean mosaic virus), SYMMV (Soybean yellow mottle mosaic virus), SYCMV (Soybean yellow common mosaic virus), SbDV (Soybean dwarf virus), PSV (Peanut stunt virus), AMV (Alfalfa mosaic virus), CPMV (Cowpea mosaic virus), CMV (Cucumber mosaic virus), BCMV (Bean common mosaic virus), PEMV (Peanut mottle virus), CCMV (Cowpea chlorotic mottle virus), TSV (Tobacco streak virus), BBWV2 (Broad bean wilt virus 2) and BYMV (Bean yellow mosaic virus).
