The purpose of this study is to enhance the self-control of children with the Internet Game Addiction by implementing the cognitive-behavioral play therapy for them. The study issues are as follow: first, whether the cognitive-behavioral play therapy can influence on the enhancement of children's self-control reported by themselves; second, it can affect the language expression related with self-control appeared in a session. The subjects of this study are the children using Y local children's center located in Busan-si who are the self - rated the Internet game addiction 36 scores and three children(Third grade) who received low scores on the scale of it. The cognitive-behavioral play therapy is constructed with the aim to modify the self-control of children with Internet Game Addiction by correcting and complementing it according to the study purpose, with a reference to some techniques involved with self-monitor, evaluation, check, reinforcement, and control. The program was implemented during a total of 12 sessions, 60 minutes of 1 session, twice a week. It consists of relaxation activity(15 minutes), structured activity(30 minutes), discussion and arrangement activity (15 minutes). Both teachers and children were administered with self-control test, the self-reported questionnaire and the Internet Game Addiction session-evaluation form made up by researcher before and after the program was practiced in order to understand the effect of cognitive-behavioral play therapy on the self control of children with the Internet Game Addiction. Moreover, they suggested the language expression of children according to the session assessment. The results of this study are as follows: First, the cognitive-behavioral play therapy enhances the self-control of children with internet game addiction. Second, the cognitive-behavioral play therapy positively modifies the language expression relevant to self-control, seen within sessions, of children with the Internet game addiction. Although this study is difficult to be generalized because of small sample size, it was found that the cognitive-behavioral play therapy influences the enhancement of the self-control of children with internet game addiction
