Corrugated steel plate is made of zinc hot dip galvanized thin steel plates fabricated into sine wave shapes so its section modulus is 10∼30 times greater than regular steel plates. The corrugated steel plate also has high resistance against loads. Also, the corrugated steel plate is a material based on a new concept where it can be manufactured in a short period of time through bolt assembling in various sites. However, corrugated steel plate structures use thin steel plates and are commonly made in the maintenance of the arch formation. Consequently, assessment of the flexural performance of corrugated steel plates of small thickness according to the reinforcement type is necessary. In this study, a flexural strength test of corrugated steel plates for various reinforcement types was conducted for a 381×140mm cross section using the SS490 material that was domestically manufactured. 5 types of flexural tests were conducted where the following types were homogeneous cross section(TYPE 1), rib reinforced cross section(TYPE 2), sandwich reinforced cross section(TYPE 3), rib reinforced cross section with regular concrete as the filler(TYPE 4), and rib reinforced cross section with high strength concrete as the filler(TYPE 5). Moreover, the tests were performed with the distance between bolts, number of bolts, stud spacing, and concrete strength as parameters for each TYPE. For the testing equipmenr, UTM of 5,000kN was used with a loading rate of 0.1mm/sec. The support was a 4-point loading setup using rollers and hinges, and the deflection of the center was measured by attaching a wire gauge at the center of the test specimens. The test results showed that plastic moments of TYPE 2, TYPE 3, TYPE 4, and TYPE 5 were approximately 2.0, 1.9, 3.2, and 3.7 times greater than that of TYPE 1.
