Due to the development in information and communications, medical consumers can search information about medical treatment through various means such as the internet and newspapers, allowing them an environment based on accurate information they need where they can actively choose which hospital to go to. However, the speciality of the information of healthcare is extremely high, and as there are many fields in healthcare information, it is hard for medical consumers to judge which hospitals are good. Medical consumers decide which hospital to go to by using the most information they can that they received through various means, considering the passive process of where they receive healthcare. This study focuses on the importance of the regulation effect of the connection strength (tie strength, reliability, and clarity) of the recommender and the source when it comes to the effect the evaluation of the source has on the actual experience of the medical consumer of healthcare. We also carried out a study on what effect the evaluation of a consumer who actually experienced it through word of mouth had on medical customer satisfaction. The number of subjects of analysis was originally 1,500 patients who were either currently receiving treatment or had received treatment from general hospitals recently, but after excluding 29 who were insincere, the total was 1,471. We used 1,036 in the final analysis by separating the source according to neighbors (doctor, family, close friend, etc.) The test results of hypothesis 1 showed that there was a significant difference in the assessment of information source as well as the medical consumer's actual experience according to the quality of health care, cost of health care, and the size of the facilities. The test results of hypothesis 2 showed that the connection strength (tie strength, reliability, and clarity) of the recommender had a significant effect when it came to the assessment of the recommender having an effect on the assessment of the medical consumer's actual experience. Overall, it showed that when it came to the effect the assessment of the source had on the assessment of the medical consumer, clarity out of all the connection strengths had a significant interaction. The test results of hypothesis 3 showed that there was a significant effect the assessment of the consumer's actual experience had on medical customer satisfaction. According to the type of treatment and the seriousness of the illness, as a result of analyzing the correlation between the assessment of the source as well as the consumer's actual experience, it showed that inpatients had a higher connection strength to the recommendation through word of mouth than outpatients did when it came to the type of treatment. There was a big difference in connection strength between the low group and high group in serious patients than in mild cases or routine patients when it came to the seriousness of the illness. In conclusion, we proposed that through the study results, implications are offered as well as limitations, and that future studies are continued when it comes to marketing that is related to health care and the establishment of hospital policies.
