The purpose of this study is to define the correlation which the desire for exercise in swimming club impacts on the exercise sustainment performance and the exercise addiction. In order to accomplish the purpose of the study, we implemented the survey questionnaire as research tool for the subjects of 400 participants in swimming club and finally drew 370 samples and used them for the final analysis. For collected questionnairs, we implemented frequency analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA, and Multiple Regression Analysis by using SPSS Version 18.0 program. We also implemented Cronbach's Alpha analysis and pilot factor analysis for the verification of validity and reliability. All statistical significance level was tested at the .05 level. The results acquired from the above study method and procedure are as followings: First, on the differences among desire for exercise, exercise sustainment performance, and exercise addiction, it is found that men are higher on the desire to show off, which was a lower factor, that there was no difference between the men and women group, and lastly that women were higher on there were statistically significant differences depending on withdrawal symptom as exercise addiction factor. According to age, regarding desire for exercise factor, 20s scored highest on body shape, and there was no difference on exercise sustainment performance among each group. Lastly, 50s scored highest on lacking control factor on exercise addiction. Regarding the desire for exercise according to swimming capability, the advanced class members scored highest on desire for fun factor and desire for health factor. Regarding exercise sustainment performance, training class recognized highest on tendency factor and reinforcement factor and the advanced class recognized highest on feasibility factor. Regarding exercise addiction, training class scored highest on exercise addiction. Regarding the desire for exercise according to residential area, there was no difference among groups, and regarding exercise sustainment performance, small city pariticpants recognized highest on tendency factor. There was no difference on exercise addiction between two groups. Second, it is found that the desire for fun and the desire for health influence positively on exercise sustainment performance in the desire for exercise among swimming club members. Third, it is found that the desire for show up influence negatively on exercise addiction among the desire for exercise among swimming club members. Fourth, it is found that regarding exercise sustainment performance of swimming club members, the reinforcement factor influences negatively on exercise addiction. Fifth, there was a statistically significant correlation between the desire for exercise and the exercise sustainment performance as wel as between the exercise sustainment performance and exercise addiction. Even if it is found that there was no direct significant correlation between the desire for exercise and exercise addiction, there was indirect correlation as of the mediating factor of exercise sustainment performance.
