This paper attempted to discuss the possibility of constructing a domestic system for the integrated service of cultural heritage information, presuming an integrated service of cultural heritage information, bringing forward its justification and necessity, analyzing and reviewing advanced cases overseas. Cultural heritage to be serviced can be conceptually integrated into knowledge information resources. In addition, with changes in the technological environment, the development of information and communications technology, cultural heritage agencies digitized their cultural heritage resources, and could do service through an information network system without constraints of space and time. Thus, users who approach cultural heritage resources request for a one-stop service in which they explore cultural heritage resources desired without any more constraints on the type of cultural heritage resources and can be provided integrated resources from one place. In this situation, domestic and foreign cultural heritage agencies seek for cooperation and integration with each other. In fact, like LAC of Canada, there is an integration between cultural heritage agencies or like British MLA or Norwegian ABM-utvikling, integrated policy instruments are established under the supervision of a single institution, seeking coexistence and cooperation. In addition, like BAM project of Germany and NOKS of Denmark, there are cases of constructing an integrated database of archives, libraries and museums and providing integrated search. In South Korea, all archives, libraries and museums service their resources in a digital environment. For example, the National Archives provides archives and released secret archives through ‘National Archives & Records Services,’ and the National Central Library services bibliographic information of numerous national and international libraries through its digital library ‘Dibrary.’ In addition, in the domain of museum, the Cultural Heritage Administration services cultural heritage resources of the Cultural Heritage Administration and related agencies through Korea National Heritage Online and services cultural heritage resources held in the National Museums through the National Central Museum's e-Museum. They aim to integrate cultural heritage in providing information services, but it stoping at the level of informatization in individual areas. Of course, only if informatization in individual areas is achieved well, the integrated service can be done successfully. And yet, considering the level of technological development and the users' needs, it is necessary to discuss the construction of a system for integrated service of cultural heritage. To realize this, digital library project ‘Europeana’ promoted by the European Commission and its data model Europeana Data Model (EDM) is introduced, and an attempt to check the possibility of constructing a domestic integrated service of cultural heritage resources will be made. Europeana is the European digital hub of cultural heritage, which is currently doing integrated services of digital resources over 30 million from 2,300 cultural heritage agencies in Europe. Europeana is a digital library serves as a gateway, museum and archive to have access to digital data held in European archives, libraries, museums, galleries and audio-visual collections under the slogan 'Think culture.' In addition, the EDM is a data model developed so that Europeana can harvest and map heterogeneous data from cultural heritage agencies in various types. This is because the EDM is structured into an RDF schema in the XML standard and reuses the ontology of specific areas in structuring the context, serving as the top-level ontology. Thanks to this property and structure of the EDM, it can harvest different data integrated from cultural heritage agencies in diverse types, maintaining their original expressions and securing interoperability. In other words, this is a data model that plays a key role in implementing the EDM's Open Cross-Domain Semantic Web. Therefore, this study would analyze the domestic cultural heritage agency's data management infrastructure, map cultural heritage data of each area on an EDM structure, check if the domestic cultural heritage resources can be structured through the EDM and attempt to check the possibility of constructing a domestic system for the integrated service of cultural heritage by seeking for a method appropriate for domestic reality, among various methods that provide data in Europeana.
