먼저 SMART MCR HRA를 위해 SMART EOG(Emergency Operating Guidance) 10개를 대상으로 직무분석을 하였다.

An operation task of MCR(Main Control Room) in a nuclear power plant consists of a series of cognitive processes such as monitoring situation, detecting and perceiving data or information, interpreting and assessing the situation, diagnosing the symptoms, decision making, planning responses, implementing the responses and so on. Especially, in case of computer-based digital MCR, state variables of the plant are monitored by information display devices, e.g. CRT, LCD which are quite different from the existing analog MCR. Also, there has been a steady increase of cognitive tasks controlled by computerized input devices, e.g. mouse, key board, touch screen, etc. Therefore, the digital MCR, usually using personal computers, needs to be adjusted to new technology that is the digital environment. SMART(System-integrated Modular Advanced ReacTor) which belongs to SMR(Small and Medium sized Reacotrs), SDA (Standard Design Approval) received in July 2012, is also applying the digital environment. And in the new digital environment, 2 men, SRO(Senior Reactor Operator) and AO(Assistant Operator), are in charge of operation task in normal operation, whileas 3 men, SRO, AO and LO(Local Operator), are in charge of operation task in abnormal and emergency operation. There is a stark difference from the existing analog MCR, which was operated by 5 men consisting of SS(Shift Supervisor), STA(Shift Technical Advisor), RO(Reactor Operator), TO(Turbine Operator) and EO(Electric Operator). Since the new SMART MCR operating environment is expected to influence the possibility of operator’s human errors and human performance, it is necessary to conduct HRA(Human Reliability Assessment) to decrease the errors. Therefore, there is a ceratin limit to apply the old HRA methods, which are focused on evaluating human errors of the existing analog MCR and operators. Considering these points, it is essential to set new methods to analyze SMART human errors. The methods also need to consider the new type possibility of execution error by totally different interaction. The purposes of this thesis are as follows. • First, conduct SMART HRA applied THERP and RARA targeting SMART EOG. • Second, verify suitability of organization of SMART operators We analyzed 10 SMART EOG(Emergency operating Guidance) tasks for SMART MCR HRA. This task analysis is conducted as HTA(Hierarchical Task Analysis) method. The analysis made a result such as information for task operations, and task requirements for control according to 10 task consideration standards in NUREG-0711 (Rev.3). As a result of task requirements, we classified 12 task operation types. This 12 task types consist of Primary tasks such as monitoring, detecting, operation planning, operation conducting which are same with existing analog MCR and Secondary tasks such as computer-based display, interface operation task associated with controllers operation which are corresponding to digital MCR only. The 12 task types were classified as digital MCR and analog MCR according to THERP and RARA methods. The results are as follows. • Making SMART task analysis table according to 10 task requirements. • Deducing task operation types for analog MCR and digital MCR as 1st and 2nd task. • Digital MCR according to THERP and RARA methods is an advantage as monitoring tasks. Whileas HEP(Human Error Probability) for controlling tasks is increased. • HEP average for 3 men group is 0.0085 higher than old 5 men group’s one in emergency operation. • However, HEP standard deviation for 3 men group is consistent and lower than 5 men group’s one which greatly differ in scenario. We compared and analyzed THERP and RARA methods. It is concluded that RARA has more HEP values in digital MCR. We assume that this is a reflection of interrelation consistency of PSF such as digital environment factors. We expect to verify this point in further research. The significance of this research is that the expanded possibility such as the possibility of human errors and execution errors, etc. for operators according to sharp change of MCR environment e.g. SMART which is a new plant MCR design of SMR is included in the range for evaluation. The result of this research can be used as human engineering design input data for SMART MCR MMIS and PSA input data. This will contribute to enhancing safety and performance for SMART.
