This study was purposed to confirm the effectiveness on improvement of elementary school student`s creativity in art class with PBL & CPS. Therefore, research assignments below were set up. First, are ‘Art classes with PBL & CPS’ effective in enhancing the creative abilities of elementary school students? Second, are there any differences in elementary school student's creativity development depending on teaching skills in 'Art classes with PBL & CPS'? Homogeneity among these three groups was guaranteed by taking K-ICT for elementary school students as a pre-test. Comparative group 1 took twelve PBL Art classes and comparative group 2 took ten CPS Art classes. On the other hand, the control group took regular art classes of the elementary school. This experiment was conducted for six weeks from March 26th to April 30th, two classes a week and a post-test was carried out with the help of K-ICT. The collected data were analyzed by ANOVA and t-test using the SPSS 22.0 statistical program. The results of this experiment are as follow. First, this experiment was improved that 'Art classes with PBL & CPS' are more effective in increasing creativities than the regular art classes. 'Art classes with PBL & CPS' prove to be effective in increasing the creativity (shape creativity, linguistic creativity) and its sub-factors: fluency, Imagination, flexibility, sensitivity, originality except for elaboration. The comparative group was improved more than the control group in creative ability. However, the differences of creativity in both groups have no significance statistically. Second, the PBL art class was improved creativity more than the CPS art class but there was no significant difference statistically. The art class was more effective in improving the ‘elaboration’. The PBL art class was more effective in improving originality. There were no significant differences in the creativities but the average score of the CPS art class was higher than that of PBL art class in the other factors except for humor and problem-solving leadership. Therefore, PBL and CPS art classes in this study were effective in enhancing the creativity of elementary school students and it proves that these two art classes have no differences in enhancing creativity depending on teaching skills. These findings would be helpful for planning the art classes of elementary school.
