Museum is a typical informal education center and life-long education institute; no limitation for social class or age; free and convenient study mood forms rather than schools. Also, they are alternative spaces for recent leisure; all the age groups with different sex from children, family, adults, the youth, the old and the disabled can join so that such places will be enjoyable places for them together. These factors more significant compared to schools and benefits and advantages have been given more and more for the people. Most of all, family visitors with various ages and targets is a critical factor for museums; they can study various cooperative programs through such informal education environment and mutual activity as well as individual recognitive activity. In the museum, family members can experience more meaningful study and activities through mutual and active social reaction so that various educational recourses should be developed and establish educational conditions to let them continue this experience. These efforts can be understood through mutual reaction between family unit visitors and participants for the time being; together with this, family members have been considered for the comprehension of their studying activity, smooth interaction, its importance and its embodying methods. However, most of the study has been done quantitatively by statistical values; it has been focused on the children; adults’ roles and features have been observed from the viewpoint of children or studied as the companions for them as a central position. Therefore, in this study, the author tried to find out adults’ roles as a teacher in the family joining program based on constructivism for its researching target, and developed and applied the program based on its related theories and prior researches for adults’ roles and its characteristics. Also, rather than researching their roles as parents or participants, substantial roles was endowed in the real conditions; the author made us as adults watch it as it was. “Saturday Museum Family Exploring Team” developed through above criteria was performed at Children Museum of Jeon-ju National Museum from March 7th to 21th in 2015 for 3 times; its experimental study was performed for 25 households with children in the museums. To analyze the result according to a researching factors, the authors has collect and watched the result through questionnaire, a teaching diary and interview with participants. From the result, the adults’ roles are divided into largely 3 types, respectively. First, parents should lead children’s activities actively, guide them as information providers with detailed explanation and learning direction; second, parents should provide a proper scaffolds for them with mutual action guide make them concentrated on the activity; third, parents should lead their study as study stimulators equally, showing themselves as studying peer and leading their children’s education. Totally, these 3 types don’t appear continuously for its unique phase but appears complexly according to children’s learning motive, educational activity and learning condition. Therefore, when these 3 types such as information provider, study stimulator and co-learners are properly reflected with adults and teachers’ role, certain active interaction among family members, and study effect and contributiveness are influenced well by these 3 types. Consequently, these examples are expected to help understanding family visitors, and contributing family joining program development and activation in order to provide a good quality of education for family visitors who look for museums.
