This thesis is class research of planning for Learner-Centered exhibition activity, and regard cooperative learning ? based on constructivism - as important. In the art curriculum 2011 followed by art curriculum 2009 revision, ‘Exhibition planning with considering viewers role’ had specified in contents of the art criticism. Furthermore, it encourages ‘Finding out various role of viewers by purpose and method of exhibition’ and ‘Planning for class exhibition with theme’. There is no researches on, nevertheless, systematic guidance plan for exhibition case. In the meantime, the exhibition curriculum have been studied more than bachelor’s degree, however, exhibition curriculum on secondary institution shows two kinds of aspects at domestic research. The long-term project class is affiliated with creation works for students ? joining the lecture as creator and exhibition planner concurrently, or giving a presentation, as curator or docent, with existing works.
As mentioned above, exhibition planning curriculum at secondary institution could be consisted of creation works or appreciation activity, however, it is educational significant for understating functions of exhibition and role of exhibition manager through planning actual exhibition process. Hence, this research proposes the way of improving current art education curriculum based on current state of exhibition curriculum and its researches at secondary institution.
Summarizing research details, as below;.
First, checked exhibition chapter on art text book, and searched method for presenting its structuralization to learner. Second, as planning exhibition is composed with exhibitor’s subject, work selection, concept of display, open exhibition, evaluation of exhibition, and many other activities, it is highly desirable to proceed as cooperative learning than individual learning. So, I applied Co-op Co-op model system which have voluntary tendency. Third, discovering advantages and limitations of cooperative learning Co-op Co-op model though educational cases which applied it, and considering possibility of applying the module to art education. As this study is more concerned with discussion process for improving on criticism ability, it consists of actual exhibition process ? from exhibition subject select process to evaluation ? for applying the spot of education.
