This study aims to explore characteristics peer cultures of children. I completed collection to each of dates through observation and interview from March, 2011 to February, 2012 in K daycare center. The questions are follows. First, how is the aspect to establish and maintain relationship with children? Second, how is the aspect to establish social order with children? Third, how is the aspect children to adjust culture? The results are summarized three as follows. First, the aspect to establish and maintain relationship with children had double-sided characters. K daycare center children’s make friends who are based on similarity. Also, they included their friend as friendly peer but excluded who does not friendly peer. Second, the aspect to establish social order with children that the children pursued a social power between peer. K daycare center children competed each other and asserted teacher’s authority. They pursued a social power continuously because of having leadership and gaining control on the play. Finally, the children have secondary adjustment rules that is part of culture. K children kept the rules faithfully for pleasure in play and teacher’s attention and praise. And, the children emphasized rules not him/herself but other children. The children also broke rules, for example they began other plays, to kept rules slow down, and hided the play materials. The findings of this study have the following implications. First, characteristics peer cultures of children have homogeneity. The homogeneity is the motive of children’s action which is inclusion-exclusion in the peer relationship. Second, characteristics peer cultures of children have hierarchy. The hierarchy is children’s peer relationship that is not equality. So children put their knowledge to practically use for play. Third, characteristics peer cultures of children have autonomy. The autonomy is reconstruct existing culture. Specially, the rules are reorganized meaning of keep the rules, limit of the rules, and meaning of the rules by children’s desire and needs.
