As the result, total trade amount increased 26times which is from 63.7 billion dollars to 1683.2 billion dollars in 16years. This paper focuses on the analysis of problems and solutions of payment system in trade between Korea and China. We examined some frauds of L/C such as fraud of importers or exporters, the conspiracy fraud between exporters and importers, and the conspiracy fraud between exporters and transporters. There were also some of trap clauses of L/C, flaw in transportation documents and unpaid of payment because of the unperformed the contract obligation or a defect of goods. Last, I studied that unclear laws of electronic payment, imperfect factoring payment system, loop holes in the related laws, lack of ability to check their credit and problems of payment system and law in China. This paper suggests some counter plans to solve the trade payment between Korea and China. The best way to prevent L/C fraud is that trade reference in advance and complete checking between the expression of L/C and documents. Also strong advertisement of factoring payment system, maintenance of payment related laws and build up reference ability will help to solve problems. Then, promoting the electronic payment system, perfecting the electronic system law and using new payment systems should follow up by China. By the result of the analysis, the followings are some plans suggested for the Korea and China traders to avoid the risks of unpaid money. First, by combining L/C with remittance or L/C with collection may bring down the trade risks. Second, by using stand-by L/C instead of documentary L/C will improve the trade effectively. Third, optimizing export insurance will bring down the trade loss. Forth, using new payment system, international factoring, there is guarantee to paid money also to make well financing and expand the exporting products for small enterprise.
