The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of cervical stabilization using a Sling or McKenzie exercises resulting from rear-end collision neck injures. Subjects were selected for the 30 people ed patient with damaged side momentum from medical examination practice the cervical radiographs taken through a pre-scan test and deploy 10 people in each group at random. Sling exercise group(n=10) is the group who underwent TENS(Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) treatment and the Sling exercise therapy, McKenzie exercise group(n=10) is the group who underwent TENS treatment and McKenzie exercise, control group(n=10) is TENS treatment only were divided. Exercise treatment was three times a week for 20 minutes. TENS treatment three times a week for 15 minutes. All programs were carried out for 4 weeks. The level of pain the patient to measure the dependent variables visual representation of a visual analogue scale. Neck disability index questionnaire to assess their own failure level than can be patient with neck pain was used for digital tilt sensor to measure the flexion and extension range of motion of the neck at the joint device. Using an EMG(Electromyographic) equipment to surface EMG signals were collected sternocleidomastoid muscle and anterior scalene muscle for check the activity of the cervical flexor neck. Measured before the intervention, intervention was perfomed after 4 weeks. As a result of comparing the pain level, in the comparison groups showed Sling exercise group, McKenzie exercise group, control group was significantly decreased in each groups, compared to Sling exercise group was significantly lower than the control group(p<.05). As a result of comparing the neck disability index, in the comparison groups showed Sling exercise group, McKenzie exercise group, control group was significantly decreased in each groups(p<.05), compared to Sling exercise group was significantly lower than the control group(p<.05). As a result of comparing the joint range of motion, in the comparison groups showed in same at flexion and extension, Sling exercise group was significantly higher in each groups(p<.05), compared to Sling exercise group was significantly higher than the control group(p<.05). As a result of comparing the surface EMG, in the comparison groups showed in Sling exercise group, sternocleidomastoid was 22mmHg, 24mmHg, 26mmHg, 28mmHg, 30mmHg upon pressure significantly decreased(p<.05), anterior scalene was 22mmHg, 24 mmHg, 26mmHg, 28mmHg, 30mmHg upon pressure significantly decreased(p<.05). In McKenzie exercise group, sternocleidomastoid was 24mmHg, 26mmHg upon pressure significantly decreased(p<.05), anterior scalene was 26 mmHg, 28mmHg, 30mmHg upon pressure significantly decreased(p.05). Compared to showed Sling exercise group was significantly lower than the control group at 22mmHg, 24mmHg, 26mmHg, 28mmHg upon pressure(p<.05), anterior scalene was 26 mmHg, 28mmHg, 30mmHg upon pressure significantly decreased(p<.05). Sling exercise is improving pain and neck disability index, joint range of motion and could be confirmed that the effect of inhibiting the compensation function of the cervix due to the activation of the surface flexor muscle in cervical whiplash injury cause by rear collisions. However, McKenzie method was the significant difference in group. But not significantly different compared to the control group. When we view the results of this study, Sling exercise was better than McKenzie exercise could be confirmed that the effect improving pain and neck disability index, joint range of motion and effect of inhibiting the compensation function of the cervix due to the activation of the surface flexor muscle in cervical. Unlike many exercise studies related to the current cervix, the present study investigated the effect of cervical stabilization exercise with a Sling applied in the acute phase. It improves pain and function of the cervix due to the rear collision cervical whiplash injury and inhibits the action due to the activation of surface flexor compensation were to present an efficient program to prevent movement as to proceed to chronicity.
