The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among economic stress, basic psychoiogical needs, and life satisfaction of community college students In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the research questions posed in this study were as follows： 1. Is there any difference in economic stress, basic psychoiogical needs, and life satisfaction according to the level of gross income? 2. Is there any relationship between economic stress and life satisfaction of community college students? 3. Is there any relationship between basic psychological needs and life satisfaction of community college students? 4. What is the relative influence of the economic stress, basic psychoiogical needs, and life satisfaction of community college students? The participants in this study were 303 community college students A questionnaire was administered to them to measure economic stress, basic psychoiogical needs, and life satisfaction The data obtained were analyzed by F-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 18.0 program . The main results of this study are as follows: First, it was found that higher group in community college students gross income scored lower in economic stress and scored higher basic psychoiogical needs, and life satisfaction than lower group Second, there were negative correlations between economic stress and life satisfaction of community college students. Third, there were positive correlations between basic psychological needs and life satisfaction of community college students. Forth the highest relative influence factor of life satisfaction among economic stress and basic psychological needs was competence of basic psychological needs. The results of this study suggest that satisfaction of the basic psychological needs of community college students are important for enhancing their life satisfaction.
