The purpose of this study is to develop the Interaction Group Theraplay Program for the formation of peer relationships between infants, and apply it to four-year-old infants who show problematic behavior in order to observe the change in the formation of peer relationships and change in peer interaction. The research issues established in this study are as follows: Research issue 1. How should the Interaction Group Theraplay Program for the formation of peer relationships be constructed? Research issue 2. Is there any indication of change in the formation of peer relationships of the infants who have shown some problematic behavior after the Interaction Group Theraplay Program? 2-1. What changes have occurred to the peer relationship formation during the performance process of the program? 2-2. In a free play situation, what changes do peer interaction activities indicate? In order to form peer relationships, four stages were carried out for the Interaction Group Therapy Program: the establishment of plan stage for the program, the program drafting stage, the final draft of the program sage, and the implementation of program stage. In the first stage of program establishment, the investigation of real condition and awareness investigation regarding peer relationships among infants was carried out. by reviewing relevant researches and references, the goal of the study, activity contents, activity methods, and a basis for the evaluation selection were provided by reviewing relevant researches and references. During the third stage, the validity of the program was verified for the final draft of it with the expert's consultation. By correcting and complementing the contents based on this process, the Interaction Group Theraplay Program was developed. The objective of this program is to reduce the problematic behavior of children and to form peer relationships, and its detailed goals are as follows. The first goal is, through structure activities, to make children control themselves and follow voluntarily instructions. The second goal is, through engagement activities, to make them experience joy of the interaction, to increase happy emotional expressions such as a smile and laugh, and to voluntarily enhance peer relationship. The third goal is, through challenge activities, to boost self-confidence and self-esteem by experiencing the excitement, self-fulfillment, completion and trust. The fourth goal is, through nurture activities. to enhance the trust each other by giving them emotional stability. The activities of this programs centered on ‘structure activities’,’ intervention activities’, ‘challenge activities’, and ‘nurture activities’ and there were total 19 different activities which were divided into five different activities in structure activities, three different activities in intervention activities, six different activities in challenge activities and five different activities in nurture activities. The activity methods of this program consisted of activity principles, activity processes and the roles of an implementer. The activity principles were structure, intervention, challenge and nurture that were the principles of group theraplay, and the dos an d don’ts that were the factors of Child-Directed Interaction (CDI). Activity courses consisted of start, main activity, and finish. The roles of an implementer were a planner, promoter, restrictor, and evaluator. This program was evaluated by the infant evaluation and program evaluation. The infant evaluation consisted of diagnosis evaluation, formative evaluation, and general evaluation and the program evaluation consisted of planning evaluation, process evaluation and consequence evaluation. In order to figure out the change of peer relationships by the implementation of this program, the four-year-old infants who had never experienced treatment programs enlisting in OO daycare center in OO, Kyeonggi province were selected. With applying K-C-TRF test for the teacher to them, the infants with more than 65 points and less than 70 points of T-score in four low agents (withering, anxiety, depression, aprosexia, and aggressiveness) were chosen as targets who needed attention. There were a total of four study participants, who had been enlisted the total of 22 session bi-week program from April to Jun, 2015. In the course of the program implementation, the behavior change process of the study participants during their peer relationship formation was examined, and video shooting, observation notes, and the checklist for peer relationship formation were utilized and drafted. Then, observation notes and the yardstick for checking peer-directed play interaction were utilized to observe the changing process in peer interactions in free play situation. Through the above processes, the behavioral changes by the implementation of this program were as follows. First of all, the infant's problematic behaviors were reduced and the peer relationship building behavior was increased. Second, peer interactions in free play situation changed in a positive way, and in infants’ peer-directed play interactions, negative behaviors were reduced and positive behaviors were increased. As a result, the Interaction Group Theraplay Program for the formation of peer relationships could increase peer relationship building behavior of infants and reduce problematic behavior, which suggested the program’s role possibly as the appropriate intervention program.
