Recently, global manufacturers have introduced a variety of business strategies and tried them differently according to the achievements of the strategies to secure a competitive edge in the rapidly changing market environment. In addition, home electronics makers out of manufacturers have been in a difficult situation as the life cycle of their products is getting shorter due to the increasingly evolving new products in the market, it is getting more difficult to get a turnover from the equipment which they invested in for developing new products and the prices of the existing products are decreasing. Under such circumstances, global home electronics manufacturers have tried to introduce SCM optimized to overcome the difficult status of their business, but their efforts were not sufficient to achieve satisfactory results. This study is about the TV division of the S Electronics, a Korean electronics company, which achieved remarkable growth in a short period of time by introducing the SCM. It is a preceding study on the definition of SCM, background of the emergence of SCM in the world, development process of SCM, SCM process, management of relations with the SCM suppliers and customer management to study cases of the process of the SCM establishment and achievements of the process innovation. The TV division of the S Electronics established its work process through the internal business innovation before it introduced SCM in earnest. And the division implemented management of its enterprise resources including logistics, finance and equipment through ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning). Furthermore, it used APS(Advanced Planning and Scheduling) to set plans for demand and supply with a global perspective considering constraints including the supply of materials, lead time and production capacity at the same time, and all of the efforts have led to the development of the SCM(Supply Chain Management) process. The SCM process includes 4 major tasks such as development management, supply management, customer management and business management and it can also be divided into 7 major unit tasks such as development, purchase, manufacturing, logistics, marketing, sales and service. With the process, systems including PLM, MES, APS, SRM and CRM are supporting each task. Therefore, the SCM process has been established internally and the management of relations with suppliers and customers has been implemented externally to maximize the completeness of the SCM process and achieve the constant process innovation and change according to changes of the market, which has resulted in successful preoccupancy of the global market by the S Electronics today. However, despite the successful results of the SCM above, there were some following problems. First, the development of new products was delayed due to the lack of security of the design for the development process of new products and insufficient sharing of design information. Second, the unnecessary standby time occurred due to the traditional mold making process with the mold standardization. Third, despite the integration of the division thanks to operating mold suppliers, the suppliers' ability to respond to the peak season was insufficient because of the failure of the integration of the mold suppliers. Therefore, solutions to address such problems of the SCM presented in the study include ways to share information of the development process of new products, how to improve the mold making process according to the mold standardization and ways of strengthening the mold suppliers' ability to respond to the peak season through their integration. It is considered that through the case study of the SCM establishment and its process innovation of the S Electronics, it can be practically helpful for other companies to come up with strategies to reduce trials and errors in the process of building their SCM. Furthermore, it has been found out that to achieve the goal of the SCM, the whole areas of the SCM ranging from large areas to small ones require constant innovation. In other words, thanks to the case study of the SCM of the S electronics, it was possible to grasp an implication that the innovation of the SCM process is endless.
