하악골에서는 평균 0.93mm(표준 편차 0.34mm)의 오차를 보였다.
하악골에서는 평균 1.21mm(표준 편차 0.24mm)의 오차를 보였다.

In this study, the author compared two different types of CAD/CAM generated wafers to evaluate the accuracy. Twenty patients who had undergone bimaxillary orthognathic surgery were included : ten patients with conventional CAD/CAM generated intermediate wafer and the others with modified CAD/CAM generated intermediate wafer. A series of CT images was taken to compare the virtual simulation with postoperative CT(after 1 month). In conventional group, the mean difference of maxilla between the virtual simulation model and the postoperative result was 0.78mm and overall average error within 1mm was observed in 66.4% of repositioned maxilla. The maximum error was within 2.0mm except only one patient(97.9%). In mandible, the mean difference was 0.93mm. In modified group, the mean difference of maxilla was 0.77mm and overall average error within 1mm was observed in 68.3% of repositioned maxilla. The maximum error was within 2.0mm except only one patient(99.5%). There was no significant difference between two groups in both maxilla and mandible. As a result of above, we confirmed the excellent accuracy CAD/CAM generated wafers and the difference between the two types of wafers was not significant. With the use of modified CAD/CAM generated wafer, there is no need for K-wire insertion for external measurement and the errors related to the condylar position could be solved. In addition, modified CAD/CAM wafer technique provides advantage in case of complex maxillary repositioning because stable anatomic structure is used as reference for maxillary repositioning.
