This study was performed for 6 weeks on 15 college female students in D University located in Gyeongbuk. The subjects were divided into the dietary control group and the free diet group. On the dietary control group, creatine sensitivity was induced through dietary intake limit, so the effects of creatine loading on the change of body fat and muscle amount were researched. The dietary intake limit was done from the starting day of experiment to the terminating day of the experiment, and 5 types of lower body muscle exercises were done two times a week from 2 weeks after the experiment started for 4 weeks. The body composition was measured with the use of body composition analyzer before the experiment, 2 weeks, 5 weeks and 7 weeks after the experiment, so total 4 times were done. For creatine loading, the subjects took 25g creatine a day, 5 times per day and 5g of creatine each time, from 6th week for 6 days. For observation of the body composition difference of the dietary control group and the free diet group and the change by time, the interaction effects between factors were analyzed through Two-way ANOVA. For verification of difference between the groups, t-test was done, and for verification of average difference change within single factor by time, repeated measures of ANOVA was used. When significant difference appeared, Turkey test was performed, and the statistically significant level for all the data was set as α=.05.
The free diet group showed significant difference in body weight and BMI (p.05). The dietary control group showed a significant difference in body weight, BMI and body fat content (p<.05), but there wasn’t significant difference in percent body fat and muscle content. Based on the above results, it was concluded that enhanced creatine sensitivity induced by dietary control and subsequently ingestion of creatine does not affect the storage of body fat and muscle content.
