The correlation between use history and concentrations in segmental hair from zolpidem and benzodiazepines users원문보기

The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between use history of zolpidem and benzodiazepines and the concentrations after segmental hair analysis (1 cm and 3 cm segments) and whole hair analysis. Hair samples (n=18) were collected from Korean psychoactive agent users in rehabilitation program. Additionally, hair samples (n=5) were collected from patients who were administered one time by prescription. They signed a written informed consent after reviewing the research plan, described their zolpidem and benzodiazepines use history accurately and got their hair collected. The weight of hair samples was measured, washed and cut into less than 1 mm. The cut hair samples were extracted in methanol solution for 16 h (internal standard was diazepam-d5). The extracted solution was evaporated under reduced pressure. After evaporation, the final extract was reconstituted with methanol : Eluent A (D.W)=1:1. Ten μL of extract was injected Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry(LC/MS/MS ). The method was validated using intra, inter-accuracy and precision, matrix-effect, process efficiency, extract ion efficiency and stability of processed sample based on LOD, LOQ, and calibration curve. Total 595 segments (1cm) showed 18.15% of positivity and 64.71% of negativity. Good qualitative correlation (82.86%) between drug use and detection in hair was obtained. In other words, false positivity and false negative were considerably low. The important feature in this study was to utilize psychiatrists and well-trained counsellors. Due to this, the good relationship was made between them and accurate use history could be obtained.
