Analysis of the body pressure-related sensory changes in supine and prone positionfor physical therapy research원문보기

Objective There are limited comparative studies examining physiotherapy performed in various person, environments and positions. Thus, this study conducted a healthy science research, investigating the difference in body pressure-related sensory changes while in the supine position and prone position. Method From September 2015 to April 2017, this study was performed in 30 healthy young volunteers (15 men, 15 women) B hospital locates in Gyeonggi-do, Korea. This study used the Body Pressure Measurement System (Tech storm, Korea) to analyze changes in body pressure. In this measurement system, sensors are attached to existing mattresses and floor surfaces beneath the volunteers. And this study measured the subject's first time body movement and the number of movements. The level of pain was evaluated using pain score tools(VAS, FPRS, IPT) before the supine position and prone position was adopted, at 1, 5, 10, and 15 min, and in total for specific body points. This study measured five time points and six body points(head, shoulder, right and left arm low back, pelvic girdle, right and left leg) while placed in the supine position. And this study measured five time points and five body points while placed in the prone position. Results There were no significant differences found in body pressure for all measurements. And, first time body movement and the number of movements were no significantly difference in comparison between male and female, but significantly difference in comparison between floor and mattress on the supine and prone position. And, the pain score values for specific site were significantly difference in each study. In addition, pain score values increased with time for all measurements. Conclusions These results suggest that the properties of time, posture, environment and the gender need to be carefully considered when applying physical therapy.
