Recently, U-healthcare technology is rapidly developing as the use of wearable devices capable of communicating with users at the closest position of the user's body is increasing. Especially, u-healthcare devices and related contents that can prevent chronic diseases along with exercise management are being actively developed. As a result, a number of healthcare devices have been introduced. The user can periodically look at changes while measuring health data, including his heart rate data. However, in the case of the mobile wearable healthcare device that has been released to date, there is a problem that the user must input the ID every time the user uses the mobile wearable health care device. To solve these problems, we proposed a new algorithm that can conveniently manage heart rate data through biometrics without inputting additional user ID. To obtain finger vein images, a new device equipped with infrared LED, modified webcam, and resistance regulator was designed and fabricated. After extracting the average brightness value of the vein image acquired through the device, the average filtering process was performed to minimize the noise. The average filtered average brightness value was used to calculate the PPI. In order to verify the validity of the extracted heart rate data, the vein image was collected and the actual heart rate data using the PPG sensor was acquired. In the actual heart rate data, the average filtering process was performed to minimize the noise. The PPI values were calculated from the mean filtered heart rate data, and the PPI values of the images were distributed on one plane to obtain R square values. After collecting the heartbeat data through the vein image and the PPG sensor for 30 seconds in total of 10 persons, the PPI values were calculated and dispersed on one plane. As a result, the R square value of 9.23 had a positive correlation Respectively. It is considered that the heart rate can be extracted through the vein image. In the existing vein recognition, the algorithm is used to extract the feature points from the vein image after aligning with size and rotation, and using the LBP method. In order to verify the validity of vein recognition, 10 images of eight fingers excluding 60 thumbs were acquired and a database was constructed. As a result of experiments based on the configured database, the FER can be operated close to 0% with an EER of 0.081%, so it can be used as a highly secure authentication method through 1: 1 matching. Also, we confirmed that the algorithm has higher performance than other methods that do not just sort or sort on size. Based on these results, biometrics and cardiac data extraction through vein imaging can be performed at the same time. Therefore, by using the proposed algorithm, it is possible to solve the inconvenience of the user who has to input the ID every time when the heartbeat data is managed through the wearable device.
