The current age is leading to accelerated aging and increased social problems due to factors such as lifespan, unmarried and low birth rate, medical technology and quality of life. It is already being discussed in various advanced countries, and solutions are being proposed, but the problem of the elderly housing is getting worse. Korea is also an exceptionally fast aging society and various solutions are being researched and presented in various fields. In the world, aging in place is suggested as a method of housing policy for the elderly. The study on the application and improvement of the problems such as the elderly housing and the policy is in progress and is actually being applied. Among the major countries in Asia, Japan and Singapore are experiencing problems related to the elderly, similar to those in Korea. It is being solved through the introduction of policies related to the elderly by Aging in place. In addition, the proportion of elderly people who are married or single, and the elderly who do not want to live with their children have increased. This emphasizes the necessity of aging in place for the resident class of the current city as well as the urban residence class of the future. In Japan, we have introduced the concept of aging by using the word "care" that contains the ideology of elderly care. As the share of one generation and one pair of households over the age of 65 is increasing, the potential for high self-sufficiency is very low when younger generations enter the future due to the employment structure of the younger generation. Although Singapore is also a Confucian state, The number of elderly people aged 65 or older and the increase in population and ratio of single and couple are all discussing. The concept of aging in place is currently lacking systematic research because it does not provide an economic solution for the elderly. Research conducted mainly on baby boomers and elderly generations shows that aging in place research of youth and middle-aged people is still insufficient. This study is based on the concept of urban elderly housing, aging in place, and domestic and foreign elderly policies derived from problems in previous research. Korea city preferences of all ages and domestic and foreign residential cases are analyzed. Instead of urban elderly housing, we suggest aging and the direction of elderly housing.
Therefore, this study proceeded as follows. In Chapter 1, The background, purpose, scope and method of this study were discussed and previous studies were consider
In Chapter 2, It conducted a theoretical study on the Korea Elderly Population, Urban Elderly Housing, Aging in place, Korea · Japan · Singapore Elderly Policy.
In Chapter 3, We analyzed the characteristics of Korea city preference through Housing survey, Future Population Projection, and Elderly survey.
In Chapter 4, We analyzed two cases of Aging in place Application Method in Korea, Japan and Singapore.
Finally, Chapter 5, Based on the results of each chapter, the results of the research are summarized and present future tasks.
The results of the study are as follows.
As a result of analyzing the characteristics of domestic city preference, it was found that they favored the residence in the city and the utilization of the concept of aging in place in the city was high. The analysis of the actual condition of the elderly population predicted that the overall satisfaction with the idea of utilization and quality of life will be improved in Aging in place in the urban elderly housing formation. Aging in place in three countries and cases related to elderly housing in urban and suburban areas were selected and analyzed. Each case confirms that it is creating a suitable environment for maintaining the aging in place ideology. We confirmed that the elderly housing for single and couple households according to the features of each country is continuously trying to supply the dwellings centered on the inner city or outer area. Since Korea 's policy on the elderly is not guaranteed much more than Japan' s and Singapore 's policy on the elderly, a solution should be presented through the case analysis. Research to date has been focused on the generation of baby boomers and the elderly population, focusing on movement rather than ongoing life in the area. We will continue to study the needs of the elderly and future generations who are experiencing rapid change continuously, so urban elderly housing should be studied as an aging in place that can be used for all ages as well as the elderly. The analysis of the generation in the present study has not been analyzed in detail until the detailed analysis of each generation. Therefore, research that will continue to be developed should reflect the needs of the generations as well as linkage with aging in place. There is a need to concentrate research on the fact that the increase in the number of elderly people and married households in three countries undergoing aging is pointed out as a problem to be solved in the future. The attempt and solution of the solution to the increase of the elderly rate will be presented as a countermeasure for the future aging society. The aging in place study of urban elderly housing is also expected to be a continuous study as a solution to the housing problem that can sustain life in the city of all ages.
