스페인어권 한국어 학습자를 위한 한국어 관용표현 교육내용 연구 : 신체 관련 관용표현을 중심으로 A Study on Educational Contents of Korean Idiomatic Expressions for Spanish-Speaking Korean Language Learners: Focusing on Idiomatic Expressions Related to Body Parts원문보기
In language education, the learner's first language has a great ...

In this paper, I would like to discuss educational contents that should be considered in teaching and learning Korean idiomatic expressions for Spanish-speaking Korean language learners with an emphasis on body-related idiomatic expressions. The idiomatic expression is a language used in our daily life, and the vocabulary employed has a third meaning rather than the original meaning of the vocabulary. It makes a special linguistic expression departing from the meaning of the grammatical system. For example, if you translate the Korean idiomatic expression ‘코를 쳐들다’ into the meaning of the vocabulary itself, it can simply mean ‘lifting up your nose’ a body part, but when understanding it as an idiomatic expression, it is used in the context of communication to imply that someone is ‘putting on airs or acting conceitedly’. The impression of ‘코(nose)’ in Korean culture and Korean language is such that it is faithfully expressed in Korean idiom as well. On the other hand, when Spanish-speaking Korean language learners study Korean idiomatic expressions related to nose such as ‘코를 쳐들다’ or ‘코가 높다’, an interference is likely to occur due to the influence of learner’s first language. For example, ‘Dejar a alguien con un palmo de narices(Direct translation: leave someone a span of nose)’ is used idiomatically to suggest ‘it is out of expectation or one is disappointed’, one can be expected there is a good possibility that a negative transference will occur to Spanish-speaking Korean language learners who have a negative impression on ‘nose’. Accordingly, in this paper, I will examine the body-related idiomatic expressions in Korean and Spanish in the foreign language learning dictionaries and classify them according to the transference pattern based on the contrastive analysis hypothesis. And on that basis, I would like to classify body-related idiomatic expressions education lists in Korean language for Spanish-speaking Korean language learners and discuss how the similarities and differences between Spanish, which is the first language of the learner and Korean, the target language, can be utilized for the purpose of education.
