A study on the comparative analysis of air quality in tunnels according to road bed of underground section in subway tunnel원문보기

Today, subway is the main public transport for citizens. As the number of citizens using subways increases, interest and research on indoor air quality of subway system are also increasing. The installation work about Platform Screen Door(PSD) was carried out in order to prevent accidents. Accordingly, the indoor air quality of the platform was improved. However, the air quality inside the subway tunnel was relatively worse than before installation due to the installation of the PSD. The Ministry of Environment push ahead with promoting a project to improve ballast bed to concrete bed. But research about improving ballast bed to concrete bed in inadequate. Therefore, the effect of reduction was quantified by comparing and analyzing the compnents of PM2.5 for this study. As a result of comparing analysis, the concentration on components of PM2.5 in the ballast bed is higher than the concentration in the concrete bed. Among all components, the difference between the concentration of ballast bed and concrete bed is Fe components. As a result of comparing the concentration ratio between the ballast bed and concrete bed, Ca2+ and Mg2+ is the highest among the all components. This two components are one of the major constituents of gravel. As a result of comparison and analysis on the distribution of particle sizes, small particles (0.3 ~ 0.65 ㎛) were present in the ballast road and large particles (0.8 ~ 7.5 ㎛) were distributed in the concrete bed. There is a study that the smaller the particle size, the higher the probability of being deposited in the human lung (Kim, 2016). The pollutants in the subway tunnel were classified into five pollutants based on the PMF modeling results. The contribution of each pollutant to the concentration of PM2.5 was estimated by evaluating the contribution of each pollutant. By comparing and analyzing the PM2.5 concentration, the effect of reducing PM2.5 and its components was quantified when the ballast bed was improved to concrete bed.
