There have been many previous studies on VE, but in order to gain a real effect on VE and to improve the competitiveness of domestic construction companies, rather than relying on minority professionals and individuals to discover the VE for key areas of greater effectiveness, I think VE process improvement is very important so that all the employees in the domestic and overseas fields can easily derive the key VE in a short time, and to build processes that can be monitoring and maintained so that they can be continuously maintained. The current level of competitiveness of domestic construction companies is 76.3% when the US, which is the world's highest technology level, is 100%. Especially, the key competitiveness such as construction competitiveness, price competitiveness, and design competitiveness were 74.8%, 80.4% and 50%, respectively and it’s average 67.3%, so the technology gap was even greater. Therefore, we intend to find ways to enhance the competitiveness of domestic and overseas construction projects by studying improvement measures that can improve quantitatively and qualitatively the derivation of VE in pre-construction and construction stages. In order to achieve such a goal, it is divided into three phase. That is from basic design to bidding phase, which is the pre-construction phase, and before start of construction phase, and construction phase. A total of 423 VE data were analyzed for the last five years in the 73 domestic and overseas fields of S construction company, so I will identify the key improvement areas where the VE deduction the weakest in each phase and I will try to figure out the improvement plan for these areas. In particular, it is possible to contribute more effectively to the cost reduction and quality improvement of the project, reduction of duration. and the improvement of the construction efficiency by combining the VE technique suitable for the site characteristics in the pre-construction stage where the VE application effect is great. Therefore, the direction and characteristics of the study can be summarized into three as follows. First, I collected and analyzed the VE data applied in the domestic and overseas fields, I will apply the methodology of building site analysis to the tool that finds the key improvement areas where VE deduction is the weakest. Second, I will plan to discover and apply each improvement plan of VE process in the pre-construction phase and the construction in the construction project Finally, in order to verify the improved VE process performance at each stage, surveys were conducted for construction companies and CM employees who are engaged in VE - related work in the field.
