The purpose is to design Korean language courses as foreign languages suitable for educational purposes and educational situations in Alabama, USA. As a foreign language in Alabama, the Korean language curriculum is for non-heritage learners and poor Korean learners at public high schools, which has been designed to design an to be an efficient and systematic curriculum centered on learners. Chapter 1 presented the purpose of the education study to design the a Korean as a foreign language curriculum as a foreign language and conducted the study of the Korean language curriculum for young adults both at home and abroad. Chapter 2 presented the direction processes of curriculum design based on the theoretical background of curriculum and language learning theory and curriculum. In Chapter 3, we looked at was concerned with the current status of Korean education in the U.S. and the current status of Korean education in Alabama, and the reality of Korean education in Alabama, where Korean education is increasing rapidly, and the methods and directions implementation of Korean education in public schools. Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 analyzed the state-level standard Korean language courses and actual Korean language courses in the United States for and their association with standard Korean language curricula. The U.S. federal government analyzed the foreign language curriculum and ESL curriculum, the second language curriculum, and presented the standards of Korean language curriculum as a foreign language, referring to the purpose of education, contents structure of education, and evaluation. They analyzed the needs of learners, teachers, and parents for a Korean language education centered on learners. Therefore, Korean language education courses were designed as foreign languages focused on the link, structure, integration with American language learning standards, suitability for learners' educational purposes, and practicality.
