In order to achieve this purpose, eight potential school dropout adolescents, who are the 2nd graders in and managed by high school in G District, Busan, were included in the experiment group, and other eight 2-3and grader students managed by the same school consisted of the control group. The pre-, post-, and follow-up school adjustment and career indecision level tests were conducted on all these participants. The experiment group had total six sessions of weekly 120-minute career coaching program and before conducting the program, the pre-test was made on them. After the program, the post-test was conducted, and 4 weeks later, the follow-up test was proceeded on them. For the control group, without conducting career coaching program for them, pre-, post-, and follow-up tests were conducted on them at the same time with the experiment group. By differences in the test results between both groups, the effectiveness of the career coaching program was verified. For the research data analysis, using SPSS Window 18.0, Frequency Analysis, Cronbach's Internal Consistency ReliabilityCoefficient calculation, Independent t-test, and Paired t-test were conducted, and the respective : First, as a result to verify the effectiveness of career coaching program on level of career indecision of the experiment group, there was significant difference in the level of career indecision. Second, as a result of the t-test in pre- and post-test within the experiment group, there were statistically significant differences in the level of career indecision, while t-test results for the pre- and post-tests within the control group had no statistically significant differences in the school adjustment. Third, as a result of the t-test in pre-, post-, and follow-up tests within the experiment group, there were statistically significant differences in the level of career indecision but there were no statistically significant differences in the school adjustment. Fourth, as there were statistically significant decreases in the level of career indecision through pre-, post, and follow-up tests on the experiment group, it was confirmed that the effectiveness of coaching was maintained. Fifth, through pre-, post-, and follow-up tests on the experiment group, it was confirmed that the school adjustment was not statistically significant. Accordingly, even though there were limitations due to various factors depending on situations of the school and the group, this study has the following significances: First, the program used in this study is the first career coaching program for potential school dropout adolescents using AroPlus offered by Career Education Center of KRIVET, and the study has a significance to verify effect of decreases of the level of career indecision by the program. Second, in the current situation that there are few career programs to improve school adjustment of potential school dropout adolescents in Korea, the study has a huge meaning to try it, and for its limitations in the statistically insignificant results, it is expected to develop more effective program in future. 요약 본 연구는 강점기반 진로코칭 프로그램을 학업중단 고등학생을 대상으로 실시하여 자아탄력성, 진로성숙도, 진로장벽에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 본 연구는 부산광역시에 소재한 G청소년상담복지센터에 현재 학교를 다니지 않는 고등학생을 대상으로 홍보지 배부를 통한 홍보를 통해 모집된 50명을 대상으로 자아탄력성, 진로성숙도 및 진로장벽 검사를 실시하여 선발하였고, 프로그램 참가를 희망하는 16명 중 8명은 실험집단으로 8명은 통제집단으로 구성하였다. 이러한 목적을 이루기 위해 본 연구는 부산광역시 G군 청소년상담복지센터에서 학업을 중단한 고등학생 50명을 대상으로 자아탄력성, 진로성숙도, 진로장벽 검사를 실시하여 프로그램 참가의사를 확인한 후 최종 의사를 밝힌 16명을 대상으로 각각 실험집단 8명과 통제집단 8명으로 배정하였다. 한 회기 80분씩 총 8회기의 강점기반 진로코칭 프로그램을 실험집단에는 실시하였으며, 같은 기간 동안 통제집단에 대해서는 아무런 처치를 가하지 않았다. 본 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실험집단과 통제집단의 자아탄력성, 진로성숙도, 진로장벽의 사전-사후검사를 실시하였고, SPSS/WIN+21.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 각 척도별로 평균과 표준편차를 구하였다. 실험집단과 통제집단 간 차이를 검증하기 위해 각 집단의 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 하여 두 집단 간의 사후검사 점수에 대해 공분산분석(ANCOVA)과 다변량공분산분석(MANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 이러한 연구절차를 통하여 나타난 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 강점기반 진로코칭 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단은 참여하지 않은 통제집단보다 프로그램에 참여한 후 자아탄력성이 향상되었다. 둘째, 강점기반 진로코칭 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단은 참여하지 않은 통제집단보다 프로그램에 참여한 후 진로성숙도가 향상되었다. 셋째, 강점기반 진로코칭 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단은 참여하지 않은 통제집단보다 프로그램에 참여한 후 진로장벽이 감소되었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과에 비추어 볼 때, 본 프로그램은 학업중단 고등학생의 자아탄력성, 진로성숙도 향상 및 진로장벽을 감소시키는 데 효과적인 프로그램임을 알 수 있다.
