This study evaluated the effectiveness of a vibration feedback system in improving safe sitting postures. Participants were four office workers. The dependent variables were the percentages of time participants spent in safe shoulder, back, and overall body positions during experimental sessions. A multiple-baseline design counterbalanced across participants was adopted to test relative effectiveness difference between positive and negative procedures. For two participants, negative procedure was introduced after baseline and positive procedure was added in the next phase. For the other two participants, the sequence was reversed. As a result of the study, vibration feedback, regardless of the procedure introduced, was effective in improving the safe sitting position for all participants. However, the difference between the two procedures was inconsistent.
