As technology develops, research is being done in many fields and the number of newly published papers is increasing each year. Research has been conducted to select research paper that meet the needs of individuals in a vast amount of research paper and recommend them to researchers. Therefore, this study intends to effectively recommend the most recent papers which are closely related to the input query in the large-scale thesis data set. Existing research paper recommendation algorithms mainly use citation information. The recommendation accuracy of the new papers is low in the existing research papers recommendation algorithm because the new papers are lacking in information of the papers citation. In this paper, it is assumed that researchers are searching for the latest papers related to the papers they are preparing based on the list of references and author of list found at the beginning of the research. Using the existing reference and author lists as an input query, the relevance is calculated in various ways such as MetaPath, Item-Based Collaborative Filtering, and Inverse PageRank. After normalizing them, we combine them into SVM-MAP and random forests, and propose a method to find the latest related papers effectively. Finally, it was confirmed through experiments that the proposed method shows higher recommendation accuracy than the conventional method.
