The purpose of this study was to present A Neo-classicism music class guidance appling the concept of comprehensive musicianship for developing a balanced musicianship of music major students at art high schools music major students. In order to do that, we first looked at the curriculum and specialties of art high schools in the theoretical background. Second, we explored the background of comprehensive music and its history, principles and educational effects. Third, we learned about the background of neo-classicism music, the characteristics of modern and contemporary music, Igor Stravinsky and and formed a three-step teaching and learning guide. In the first part, we focused on the history of music and learned about the musical characteristics that appear similar in modern and contemporary music by understanding the social, historical, and cultural background in which neo-classicism music emerged. The first part was largely conceptual learning. The related learning of music and history took place, and the appreciation activities became the center. The second part applied the concept of extending the range of music, in order to enable students to select their own songs and learn about the various pieces of neo-classicism music. Since art high school students develop professional skills, they can play music on their own, not only watching and listening to video or audio. They can also play the music they have selected and to listen to the live performances of other students. This corresponds to a musical function. It was also possible to take advantage of the concept that we studied in the previous step for the newly introduced songs. Using the commonality of music, we tried to listen to new songs analytically and derive characteristics of music, and thus to help us understand neo-classicism music. The third part consisted of learning about Igor Stravinsky's style of music and his work and creating and presenting simple music using the musical features that appeared in his work. Creativity utilized rhythm, melody, and harmony among various musical concepts. This activity of creation and performance is an integrated activity of concept and practical skill, and it enables to experience related (integrated) learning in music. Through this process, I hope we realize that the subjects of theory outside of practice are not separate, but connected organically. It is not just to the performance technique, but to think about music comprehensively, and to foster a balanced musical quality as a whole. I hope that we can develop a balanced musical quality by thinking about music comprehensively rather than focusing only on playing skills.
