보육교사의 우울이 소진에 미치는 영향과 사회적 지지의 조절효과 A Study on the Effect of Child-Care Teacher's Depression on Burn-out and The Moderating Effect of Social Support원문보기

This study is focused on an effect of child-care teacher’s depression and social support on an burn-out, moreover, it is also focused on a moderating effect of social support about the effect of child-care teacher’s depression on the burn-out. The participants of this study 343 child-care teachers from 131 daycare center in Seoul and Gyeon-gi province. This study used a questionnaires from Maslach Burnout Inventory(Maslach & Jackson, 1981) adapted by Kang(1996) and by Kim(2010). The depression used the Korean version of Beck depression inventory adapted by Lee and Song(1991), furthermore, The social support scale developed by Park(1985) and recast by Lim(2000). The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics and hierarchical regressions. The moderating effect of social support was analyzed by using the procedures proposed by Baron and Kenny (1986). The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the child-care teacher as an object of study has a low level of burn-out and their average is the level of not depressed state. Also, the child-care teacher recognizes a high social support around them more than the average. Second, the child-care teacher’s depression has a positive effect on the burn-out out of the relationship between the child-care teacher and confirmed factors with the burn-out such as their age, marital status, on-duty hours, and infant’s age in charge of them. Third, there is the moderating effect of social support only besides work through the moderating effect from the social support at work and besides work based on the effect of child-care teacher’s depression on the burn-out. As a result, there is a meaningful effect of social support on the child-care teacher at work and besides work, moreover, the child-care teacher’s depression has an effect on the burn-out according to the social support besides work. In other words, the social support besides work has an effect on the burn-out as a protective factor to decline a negative factor of depression.
