The Effect of Group Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance(CO-OP) Intervention to Increase Occupational Performance and Social Interaction Skills With Developmental Coordination Disorder원문보기

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance(CO-OP) on occupational performance and social interaction skills with developmental coordination disorder(DCD). The subjects of the study were 3 children between ages 6~7, with DCD. They received CO-OP intervention that was 60 minutes per session for a total of 10 session. In order to identify the changes of occupational performance and social interaction, Canadian Occupational Performance Measure(COPM), Performance Quality Rating Scale(PQRS), Evaluation of Social Interaction(ESI), and Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-2(BOT-2) was tested. The results showed performance and satisfaction of COPM, and PQRS scores in not only trained tasks, but also untrained tasks. ESI which evaluate the social interaction skills increase significantly. When we examine the change in motor ability, showed significant improvement in bilateral coordination in BOT-2. Furthermore, reinforcement technique to promote task and verbal motor mnemonic strategy in DSSs was used the most to solve occupational performance problems in children with developmental coordination disorder during CO-OP intervention. In conclusion, this study provides evidence that the group CO-OP has a positive effect on improving occupational performance and social interaction skills with developmental coordination disorder.
