The purpose of this study was to develop, to implement the circle-based early childhood science education program and to examine the effects on the improvements of scientific exploration ability, science attitude, objects operating ability and spatial ability. The experiment group were 20 5-year-old preschool children at H daycare center, the comparison group1 were 20 5-year-old preschool children at A daycare center and the comparison group2 were 20 5-year-old preschool children at B daycare center. The 'Scientific Exploration Ability' scale which Cho-Hongja and Kim Young-ok developed for children aged 5 was used to measure the scientific exploration ability. To measure children's scientific attitude the Lee Kyungmin's tool which Jang Sookhyun and Kim Jihyun revised and complemented was used. Ulrich's(2000) Test of Gross Motor Development-Ⅱ: TGMD-Ⅱ which Kim, Han and Park(2014) translated and revised was used to measure children's objects operating ability. To measure children's spatial ability Del Grand's(1990) tool which Hong Hyekyung developed using Del Grand's categorized system was used by revising and supplementing it. Using SPSS Window 21.0 program One-Way ANOVA was used to test the effects of scientific exploration ability, science attitude, objects operating ability and spatial ability of experiment group and to know the changes between the pretest and post-test score of each groups. The post-test Tukey was used to inspect the differences among the groups. The aim of the circle-based early childhood science education program was that children experience circle learning process which children attain the knowledge and attitude about scientific and motor problem situation by experiencing activities using body movements, apply and assess them at practice for themselves. The session was composed of participating, exploring, explaining, expanding, assessing of 5E circle learning. With interaction teaching method children attain contents knowledge about activity using body movement at the first session and they experience the actual body activity at the second session twice a week for 40 minutes, total 18 sessions. Children do throwing balls from 1st week to 3rd week, do rolling balls from 4th week to 6th week and do hitting balls from 7th week to 9th week because the circle learning based program using body movement was to improve the preschool science education by encouraging children repeat experiences of circle learning process. The assessments for the program were about children's scientific exploration ability, science attitude, objects operating ability and spatial ability The program using body movement had positive effects on the improvements of scientific exploration ability, science attitude, objects operating ability and spatial ability. The activity using body movement practiced systematically based on the circle learning. Children could revise their pre-concept and concept of error by interacting among children-children, children-teacher and children-environment, attaining new knowledge while they were dong body movement activity, assessing and applying them to actual activity. This study has meaning to practice circle-based early childhood science education program using body movement systematically and actually at daycare setting. The program could enable teachers to relieve the fear for the science education, to satisfy the lack of early childhood science education program using body movement and to apply them easily without time-space limits. This study was expected to be basic data to research the activity using body movement
