The various requirements of today's society are rapidly flowing into schools. The internal and external pressures of teachers have intensified considerably. Early-career teachers, in particular, may not yet have sufficient experience and ability to build up, making them more vulnerable to stress factors in teaching. However, despite this challenging situation, there are still "resilient, early-career teachers" who maintain their passion and dedication to teaching. The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on how to develop resilient, early-career teachers by revealing in-depth what factors make them resilient. The resulting research issues are as follows. First, what are the risk factors that undermine the resilience of early-career elementary school teachers? Second, what are the protective factors that enhance the resilience of early-career elementary school teachers? Third, what does the resilience factor of early-career elementary school teachers suggest in devising ways to improve their resilience? To solve these research problems, nine early-career elementary school teachers with more than one to five years of total teaching experience were selected, which is assessed to have subjective and objective resilient characteristics. Qualitative research was carried out on the basis of exemplar methodology. Data collection was conducted using a combination of questionnaire and interview methods, and analysis was performed through coding. Data analysis found that factors of early-career elementary teachers' resilience were divided into risk factors and protective factors, and a variety of lower factors were found. The main findings are as follows. First, the risk factors for resilience could be viewed separately from personal and contextual dimensions. In particular, more contextual risk factors were found than personal risk factors. Personal risk factors include personality traits, social comparisons, physical health, and contextual risk factors such as personal crisis incidents, the gap between the content of the preceding education and the work on the site, difficulties in teaching and guidance, relationships with principals or colleagues, relationships with school parents, conflict of roles, bureaucratic oppression, authoritarian school climate, the break in cooperative relations between teachers, the lack of a reliable support system, characteristics of teaching society, external negative perception, and the threat of professional stability. What this means is that active supplementary measures are needed to buffer or reduce risk factors in order to create a resilient school and teaching culture at an organizational level, such as unit schools, education offices and the government. Second, the protective factors of resilience can be divided into individual, contextual, and natural dimensions. Various sub-factories have been found that individuals can train in personal protective factors. Personal protective factors included harmony of professional characteristics and personality traits, practical coping skills, cognitive strategy, positive identity, positive emotional savoring, study to strengthen professionalism, affection and satisfaction for teaching profession, work-life balance and sense of humor. Contextual protection factors included positive response from students and school parents, significant growth of students, support systems, autonomous school climate, leadership of principals, reasonable workload, professional cooperation among teachers, sincere teacher education, working conditions and benefits, characteristics of the teaching society, and professional help. There was also a lapse of time as a factor of natural protection. In particular, the natural characteristics of teaching, such as student growth and working conditions, rather than the protective factors systematically provided within schools or teaching jobs, have restored them. In addition, coping skills, thinking strategies, and a bond with others that individuals can use were often encountered and emphasized by early-career teachers. This means that resilience is within the reach of individual teachers and is within their control. The results of the study on the resilience of these early-career elementary school teachers were put forward the implications for the enhancement of resilience. Implications presented in this study include those that can be used on a teacher's personal level and those that can be used on an organizational level, such as teachers' educational institutions and unit schools, education offices and the government.
