There is a strong perception in society that English classes using musicals are for short-term study presentations and performances, not for systematic regular classes. Macaslin (1990) argued that creative drama does not require any special device, studio or stage, noting that time, place and passion are the only preparation of a well-trained teacher. Therefore, it is most effective not to apply the complicated and diverse musical principles and processes to children's English education, but to use them as a way to achieve the purpose of English education for children by adapting them to the realities and circumstances of the children's English education scene (Kim Hye-jung, 2018).
The purpose of this study is to help teachers by presenting detailed English musical models and lesson plans through a field-oriented case, thinking that the infant English musical class is for learning presentation or performance rather than a systematic musical class based on the English teaching method in kindergarten To this end, the study carried out in this study was as follows.
First, we will examine the teaching method of infant English musical and how to use infant English musical and present the model of infant English musical class by infant English teaching method.
Second, select an English musical that matches the age and level of the learner.
Third, based on the class model, a script was devised according to the developed guidance and could be used for actual classes by presenting the entire class plan for the infant English musical, the weekly class plan, and the daily class plan.
I was worried that 24 classes would be boring for infants, not short-term classes, so I put stickers on the musical class, except for one toddler who was absent from the musical class after completing all the classes.
Suggestions relating to the content of this study include: Because teaching guides are designed for six years of age, it is difficult to apply them to all ages, so study of teaching guides of different ages is required. Second, they should have expertise in English education in kindergartens. Third, because it is difficult to obtain materials and music sources for classes, kindergarten education institutions should also study and develop specific textbooks for English education. Lastly, if there is a place where we can share plans and materials for English education, we expect that the quality of teaching will increase.
