(Repeated measure ...

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Adler Individual Psychology group art therapy on children's social interests. Developed by Dreikurs(1976) and presented by Sutherland(2016) as a guideline, Adler Individual Psychology-based group art therapy program was designed to create social interests and a sense of belonging, so it was conducted to examine the effects on children's social interests by performing a reconstructed Adler Individual psychology group art therapy program. The subjects of this study consisted of 8 experimental groups and 8 control groups among 16 children whose parents and children have visited A or B local children center in U region and agreed to participate in the research program. Under the study, the program of the experimental group was conducted 12 times(60 minutes per time, once or twice a week) from July 2019 to September 2019. Social interests scale developed by Jung Min (2013) and modified by So Young Kim (2016) for elementary school students was used as a research tool. The collected data were processed as follows. Firstly, the homogeneity was verified by conducting an independent sample t-test using the preliminary test scores of the two groups. Secondly, to verify the effectiveness of the program, Repeated measurement ANOVA using pre-, post-test and a follow-up test scores was performed to verify program effectiveness, and simple main effects and post-scheffe analysis were performed to examine the effects of interaction. Lastly, in order to find out the change in social interests of the children, the reaction of the children was examined carefully during the session. As a result of this study, It has been found that Adler Individual psychology group art therapy has a positive effect on improving children's social interests. It is considered necessary for various forms of social interests improvement programs through providing children with constant opportunities for self-awareness and positive interactions.
